Whether you need funding for a visionary new classroom project or to sustain a long-running school based program, The Park City Education Foundation can help. With our competitive Teacher Grants and School Needs Grant Programs, we can help you address the needs of your students.

Proposals must be written by and requested by PCSD certified teachers and specialists.

Proposals must meet PCEF's mission of measurably improving student achievement in math, science, language, arts.

Teacher Grant Applications – Deadline: October 31
Teacher Grants are one-time awards.

Linda Singer Berrett Endowed Grant (Download Application)

  • Grants awarded for Elementary, Middle or High School Programs that actively support diversity and differentiation through

    • Identification of student needs, and/or

    • Modification of activities, approaches or outcomes, and/or

    • Staff development opportunities that emphasize high-quality curriculum and instruction as the starting point for meaningful curriculum differentiation

  • Priority given to grade-level, department or school-wide programs that meet the above criteria.

  • Grant range: $50 - $2,500


Nele Needham Endowed Grant (Download Application)

  • Grants awarded for Elementary School programs in grades K-6.

  • Priority given to grade-level, department or school-wide programs that could be expanded to all elementary schools in the District.

  • Priority given to grants that promote:

    • The Arts, Culture or Cultural events

    • Programs for children with special needs

  • Grant range: $50 - $2,500


Nancy DeFord Educator Initiative Program (Download Application)

  • Designed to encourage and facilitate innovative and creative instruction in the classroom

  • Grant range: $100 - $15,000

School Needs Grant Application – Deadline is February 8th

Site Grants (download application)

  • Annual application process with February 8 deadline and awards by April 30th.  

  • Special consideration given to schools/ programs that coordinate their ideas with other schools.

  • Ongoing programs will be considered under the site grant application.

  • PCEF will consider 1 – 5 Site Grant Applications per school.

     

 

 

 District-wide Initiatives Grant Application – Deadline is May 1st

Grant/Program Identification and Evaluation Criteria:

The PCEF Executive Committee and Programs Identification Committee are responsible for managing the evaluation process for funding opportunities. Grant opportunities will be evaluated against the following criteria:

  • Request falls within PCEF’s mission and current interest areas

  • Request falls into one of granting programs: district, site, teacher

  • Program impacts significant enough number of students and teachers.

  • Special attention is given to teacher training
  • If district-wide, initiative is supported by teachers and principals

  • Management team and/or teacher champion exists for the project

  • Program has an integrated program assessment plan

  • Projected short and long-term impacts of the program on student achievement are clear and measurable

  • Program is requesting funding for a defined period

  • Would this program be offered to students if PCEF were not available?

  • Does the grantee demonstrate the potential to continue the funded work in a self-renewing manner after PCEF funding ceases?

  • Grants awarded to schools.

  • Attach application and introductory letter
